Gifts you should Never give to your Girlfriend

Men and women are really different in many aspects: the way of thinking, their needs, expectations.

For example, gifts mean a lot to women, but we can't say the same thing about men. A woman knows how to ''read'' the message that a gift is giving, but men doesn't pay too much attention and importance to a gift.

So, choosing a right gift for a woman can be very difficult. The right gift tells her you're thoughtful, observant and you really understand her, but the wrong one can tell her just the opposite. Any gift that says you love her, that you cherish her, know her, is pretty safe. What happens if your gift doesn't transmit your real feelings for her?

A gift worth more than a thousands words for a woman. Not many of us, men, know which a bad gift for a woman is. In order to not surprise her negative with your gift, here are some gifts you should avoid buying her:

1. Insult gifts:

-Awful flowers – for women flowers have a big importance and that's why you have to realize the difference between good flowers and bad ones; if you don't know anything about flowers, you may ask a female florist to help you choose the right bouquet for your girlfriend; you don't want to go there with some flowers you may give to her grandmother, don't you?

-A cheap perfume – no matter how fancy it looks, you can't fool her; women usually know many things about the beauty products, perfumes, and which the best are

-Lingerie – is a risky bet; a lingerie made of flannel will be definitely not on her taste; you have to choose the correct size, the right style for her; you have to choose something that she likes and not what you'd like her to wear; if you didn't choose the right size, the message she will understand is or that she is too fat, or that you are insinuating she needs a breast enlargements; so, forget it

-Wrinkle cream – even if she does need it, you are not the right person to buy it; let her do it; you will make her feel old by bringing this

-Socks – are considered the most offensive and disappointing gift; most people are happy to buy their own socks; so it's not a good idea to choose

-Laser hair removal – even if you are tired of her mustache or stubbly legs, don't buy such a thing; maybe she will buy herself one from her own initiative

2. Gifts that require work:

-Cooking utensils – the message that she will understand from this gift is that her place is in the kitchen; a cookbook – might be thinking that you hate her cooking; if you want to encourage her to cook more you'd better make her some positive compliments; praise the meals she does and she will be more likely to take more of an interest in the culinary arts

-Cleaning products – as vacuum cleaners, mops, dusters, oven cleaner or other household cleaning products; she will wonder if that you consider that her place is dirty or what ; also she will understand that you see her more as a maid and not your partner

3. Things that make her feel bad about herself:

-Membership to a diet program – even if she told you that she would like to join one, it is not a good gift; she might think that you consider she is not beautiful anymore until she won't be lose weight

-Exercise equipment – it is an unpleasant way to tell her she's fat; you'd better ask her to join you at some activities such as cycling, hiking or jogging; say her that you want to do it for yourself and don't want to go alone; choose an activity that you think she would like and doesn't need an expensive equipment

-Clothes – again you may choose the wrong size, and make her feel bad; anyway, even if you have impeccable taste, clothes are a woman pleasure

4. Totally NO gifts:

-A pet – not everybody is glad to get a pet as gift, because to raise a pet involves a lot of responsibility, much work; is she said that she likes dogs that not necessarily means that she wants one; if she decides to buy a pet, let her choose one and buy herself

-A gift for yourself – like a golf set or a playstation; it will be a selfish fact; gift should be focused on what she wants and not what you want; don't assume that you have the same interest, because even if she stay and watch football games with you this doesn't mean that she wants to have soccer ball

5. Nothing

-Do not believe when she says that she doesn't need anything, because this is not true; she said this but she is expecting to receive something from you; if you appear there without a gift, you may see on her face that she will be disappointed and upset

I wish you good luck in choosing the right gift for your girlfriend and remember that you have to give her something that makes her feel special and loved; so, be thoughtful about it.

The Divine of Gorakhpur

          Sri Radha Baba
If someone examines even the slightest detail of the life of Shri Radha Baba, he will find him one hundred percent pure. If someone asks me an adjective to define Shri Radha Baba, I would choose the word, ‘Vishhudhhsante’ that means Sainthood Unadulterated
- Kavivar Dr. Harivansh Rai ‘Bachchan’
Radha Baba was a symbol of Love, Faith and Truth. Bhakti Marg’s lively example. There is a high where nothing but Brahma exists. Dvait, Advait, Knowledge, Spirituality exists at that high. Shri Radha Baba was that high.
- Shri Anandmayi Maa

The Great Saint Shri Radha Baba of Gorakhpur never came in light during his lifetime because he believed that a Sanyasi should never publicise himself. Only devotees who were closely associated with Saint Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar, who was popularly known as ‘Bhaiji’ came in association with Shri Radha Baba because he always lived with Bhaiji in Gita Garden Gorakhpur. Shri Chakradhar Baba was more popular as Radha Baba and he was a brilliant scholar having proficiency in six or seven languages.
Radha Baba was a follower of Vedant and very much intellectual. But after he came in contact of Shri Bhaiji, he became a Bhakti Margi and staunch devotee of Lord Krishna. He followed the path of Braj Sadhana and worshipped Lord Krishna in the concept of Radha Bhava. In the tradition of Saint Shri Chaitanya Ji, he worshipped by Naam Sadhnaand Bhava Samadhi.

The Great Saint Shri Radha Baba of Gorakhpur never came in light during his lifetime because he believed that a Sanyasi should never publicize himself. Only devotees who were closely associated with Saint Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar, who was popularly known as Bhaiji came in association with Shri Radha Baba because he always lived with Bhaiji in Gita Garden Gorakhpur. Shri Chakradhar Baba (16 Jan 1913 – 13 Oct 1992) was more popular as Radha Baba and he was a brilliant scholar having proficiency in six or seven languages.
He came in contact of Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar in quest of spirituality through Jai Dayal Ji Goenka who was a spiritual personality and founder of Gitapress. In the tradition of Saint Shri Chaitanya Ji, he worshipped by Naam Sadhna and Bhava Samadhi.
During his life time he maintained highest austerity, never touched money and kept away all luxuries. This kind of life path he lived was very rare in saints of that time. He took food and water only once in a day during all his life. His spiritual bond with Bhaiji was very strong and people who followed Bhaiji also followed Baba. He was an outstanding writer but he never published his name in his books therefore his books were written anonymous or by inscribing Ek Sadhu. He was a wonderful poet and wrote excellent poetry of devotion.

During his spiritual journey, in childhood he started worshiping Lord Shiva and after Sanyas he was dogmatic for Vedant. When he met Shri Bhaiji at Gorakhpur his mind set was transformed. But it was not all sudden. He worshipped Tripur Sundari and achieved the highest in that cult. Then he slowly turned into Bhakti Marg and became devotee of Lord Krishna. He used to remain in Samadhi for days without worldly consciousness. He never disclosed his spiritual achievements and never made disciples. He taught Bhagwannam Jap and believed that prayer is the highest spiritual Sadhana a human being can do which is unfailing if done by faith.
He ended his life at wish and went into Maha Samadhi after his commitments. The books written by several writers who had been associated with him can never reveal the peaks he achieved in spirituality. He was a Maha Sidha Sant and this was revealed by his contemporary saints. The purpose of this site is to reveal the world the highest spiritual personality, though very little can be described by words.

Sadhu Krishna Prem and Shri Radhe Shyam Banka lived with Radha Baba at Gorakhpur for years. The books on this site are written with highest devotion without any egotism and great faith. It might appear exaggerated while reading some events. But they should be taken in the same spirit as writers were highly devoted to Radha Baba.

The Ad Guru

Prasoon Joshi's :

Prasoon Joshi is an Indian lyricist. He is also the executive chairman of McCann-Erickson, an advertising agency for south and south-east Asia. He is popularly known as the "Ad Guru of India".

He was born on September 16, 1971 in Almora, Uttaranchal. He graduated from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. He has writen lyrics for varios Hindi films such as Lajja (2001), Aankhen (2002), Hum Tum (2004), Phir Milenge (2004), Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004), Black (2005), Rang De Basanti (2006), Fanaa (2006), Taare Zameen Par (2007) etc. He has also created advertisements for brands like Coca Cola, Chlormint, Asian Paints, Cadbury, NDTV India, Pulse Polio Program, Vacao Scooty, Close up, Ponds, Happydent etc.
Prasoon has won several awards such as:
Golden Lion Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
2002 Abby award for the Best Copywriter and the Best Ad Campaign.
Screen Best Lyricist Award for the song Sason Ko Sason from the film Hum Tum (2004).
2006 Filmfare Best Lyricist Award for the song Chand Sifarish from the film Fanna (2006).
2007 Filmfare Best Lyricist Award for the Hindi film Taare Zameen Par (2007).

Five years back, this name would ring few bells. But as the Aamir Khan-starrer 'Thanda matlab Coca-Cola' ad campaign made the almost universal rural word for soft drinks a hot catchphrase, it brought the  low-profile Prasoon Joshi [ Images ], national creative director, McCann Erickson India, into the spotlight, a fact the advertising awards for 2002 just reaffirmed.
Yet for Joshi, advertising is just one passion. He is also a poet, lyricist, composer and a trained vocalist.
Predictably perhaps, the highly competitive ad industry was not charitable in its praise.
Some believed that it was the Aamir Khan [ Images ] and film maker Ashutosh Gowariker [ Images ] connection that made the Thanda campaign work.

Joshi himself hints that the magnitude of the brand Coke could also have made the campaign a huge success.
However, ad film maker Prahlad Kakkar asserts, "Prasoon is far beyond any singular campaign success. His writing and poetry will immortalise him in the years to come."
Says Shripad Nadkarni, vice-president, marketing, Coca Cola India, "What sets Prasoon apart in the make-believe world of advertising is his ability to connect to the masses through his understanding of the Indian psyche -- he thinks Indian."
This ability to think in Hindi has endeared him to the masses much like the other small-town admen -- the Pandey brothers.
Born in Lucknow [ Images ], Joshi went on to earn his management degree from IMT Ghaziabad. His entrée into advertising began when he worked, first, as a summer trainee and then as a client servicing executive at the ad agency Grey (then Trikaya Grey).

But copy-writing obviously suited his talents better so in 1992, he moved to Ogilvy & Mather (O&M), for what was to be a decade-long stint that saw him shift to Mumbai [ Images ] and rise up the ranks to become a creative director.
However, in his own words, Joshi 'had grown to reach a glass ceiling.' In 2002, Joshi shifted to McCann Erickson as the national creative director.
Joshi believes that creativity is an intangible energy that keeps reinventing itself in different forms. His career reflects that.
A published poet at the age of 17, he has three collections of poems to his credit till date, and a fourth is in the pipeline. While Joshi the writer was creating copy at O&M, the narrator in him was also lending his voice to the commercials.
What followed were soulful voiceovers in the Nokia radio spots, the much-acclaimed cricket commentary in the "A day in a government office" campaign for the Times Of India [ Images ], the erstwhile rain commercial for Asian Paints [ Get Quote ] -- 'Chalak chalak jaaye mausam' --  or the more recent campaign for Chlormint -- 'Dubaara mat poonchna.'
His identity as a lyricist won acclaim with his soul-stirring, feminist lyrics in Shubha Mudgal's Mann ke Manjeere.
Till then, he had penned lyrics for music albums like Silk Route's debut album Boondein, Shubha Mudgal's earthy Ab ke sawan. Inevitably, writing for Bollywood had to follow.

Joshi has penned lyrics for films like Lajja, Aankhen [ Images ], and Walt Disney's [ Images ] Hindi Jungle Book III, which is in the making, among some others.

And now he's writing scripts for two forthcoming Bollywood films. "My interaction with the film industry helps me understand the masses better," he quips.
Apart from films, Joshi is deeply involved in social awareness campaigns for foundations like the Cancer Patients Association and Amitasha (a foundation for the underprivileged girl child) and causes like polio awareness.
The print ad for awareness of child abuse for Amitasha, which shows a young, underprivileged girl and a possible victim with her mouth stitched, won industry acclaim. "Emotions cannot only build brands in India but can also awaken mass conscience," he explains.

However, his advertising copy has shifted from its deep emotional tone to irreverent humour (Nokia, Asian Paints, Cadbury's) to which  the light-hearted 'Thanda' Coke commercials, Alpenliebe and Chlormint commercials are testimony.
"I think am travelling a full circle. In the end, advertising has to be entertaining and real to be liked," he says.
Joshi seems to be irked by rumours of personal differences with mentor Piyush Pandey and is more wary of controversies.
"According to the ancient Indian academic tradition, after the disciple grows, the teacher allows the disciple to go ahead and conduct his own concert," he says
